Billed as ‘the antithesis of low-energy light bulbs as we know them’, there’s certainly something about Plumen. This good-looking design – 3 years in the making, and named in tribute to a bird’s plumage – uses 80% less energy and lasts 8 times longer than a standard incandescent bulb. A frustrated team devised Plumen in response to
what they saw as a lack of imagination in current low-energy bulb design. Disagreeing that the thought-process should stop once the bulb is energy-efficient, they created an attractive product that combines aesthetic with environmental value. All that and it saves money. Who says beauty can’t come cheap?
