Far, far away on the Whangapoua coastline of New Zealand sits a hut… on sleds. Designed by Crosson Clarke Carnachan, this chic shack closes up against the elements and can be moved around the beachfront or taken to a completely new location.
With a need to respond to the local council’s criteria for structures in the coastal erosion zone, the hut ticks all the boxes and then some. Featuring a roof terrace that catches rainwater to fill the tanks in the rear, and also just a whole lot of modular style. It’s the kind of thinking inside/outside the box that makes us want to pack it all in and head for the coast. #Cabinporn
